Kikyou

Kikyo was a priestess charged with guarding the Shikon Jewel from falling into the wrong hands. Demons from across Japan traveled to Kikyo's small village in an attempt to steal the jewel from her and gain incredible powers. Kikyou is the original love of Inuyasha. She has been brought back to life by an evil witch, and only has a part of her soul because her soul is in Kagome.

Shikon Jewel

The Shikon Jewel was created hundreds of years ago in a cave near Sango's village. It is the product of a the merger of a human named Midoriko's soul with that of a group of demons who were trying to kill her. Eventually the jewel was intrusted to Kikyo to care for, and Inu-Yasha debated using it's power to become fully human so that he could live with Kikyo. The jewel was burned with Kikyo's body, but when Kagome ventured back in time the jewel came out of her body. Once it was released demons from all over the area tried to claim it. Now it has been shattered into many pieces and scattered all across Japan and beyond.

Kagome and InuYasha are a favorite couple to some people. InuYasha's the hard-headed one, and Kagome's the kind-hearted one. Throughout the episodes/movies, Kagome recognizes InuYasha has a true heart. Although InuYasha has feelings for his past love Kikyo, Kagome still stays with him!

Sango and Miroku

Sango and Miroku are a good couple in this series. Eventhough Miroku is a pervert, Sango deals with it. A good example of their love was in episode 118, when Miroku sucked up the poison insects to pretect Sango. Miroku said for her to go by herself, and Sango couldn't leave and said "If you can't come with me............then atleast let me die with you." I do admit they are my favorite couple

Kikyo and InuYasha

InuYasha and Kikyo are a complex, but good couple! Kikyo is InuYasha's first and original love, and they are still much in love. If it wasn't for Naraku, Kikyo wouldn't have died and sealed InuYasha to a tree. They were both fallen into Naraku's trap of betrayal and hate. When Kikyo came back to life, she still loved him and InuYasha still looked after her.
